Carol guided us through the sale of a fixer-upper that had been in the family for more than 30 years. She understood we wanted to get a great price even though the house was not in very good shape, so she clearly laid out our options: 1) Sell the house in as-is condition to investors who would pay with cash, 2) Take on a big remodel job ourselves and sell the house for top dollar, or 3) Get inspections done, do a small amount of work to get rid of the "ick" factors, and list it for buyers who wanted a deal. Ultimately, we chose option 3, which meant that Carol had to work hard for the sale. I connected with Mykah through mutual acquaintances about a year before I was ready to buy. She understood my timeline and dependencies (including selling my existing home) and never once applied pressure. During that time, she took me through homes in Berkeley, Albany, and El Cerrito, genuinely trying to understand what I wanted while familiarizing me with the neighborhoods. When the time came to buy seriously, she helped me stay selective. She remembered what I'd said I was looking for, steered me toward the right homes, and just as importantly guided me away from ones that looked great on the surface but she knew I'd regret over time. In my final purchase, we collaborated on the initial offer and then on our final offer. It was a lot of back and forth on my options and in the end it was the offer that won. I ended up with a house beyond my expectations in a perfect neighborhood. I can't recommend her highly enough.
Amy is a hustler—in the best possible way. While most agents are working open houses only on weekends, Amy was hosting extra open houses on Thursdays and Fridays, constantly putting in the extra effort to find opportunities for her clients. I worked with Amy as my buyer's agent, and she did an excellent job helping me secure a property at a price point I was comfortable with. It wasn't necessarily my ideal number (dang it - she was also the seller's agent), but it was well within the range I considered acceptable, and Amy helped negotiate a deal that made sense for me. Throughout the process, she was responsive, hardworking, and always looking out for my interests. If you're looking for an agent who is proactive, dedicated, and willing to put in the work, I would highly recommend Amy.
Mykah and Tracy were the key for a successful transaction. We interviewed multiple brokers and decided to work with them which is one of the best life decisions we've made. They helped us move out old belongings and extract value from those belongings ranging from art auctions, misc furniture sales, to junk hauling. They then helped plan renovations and interior design work down to paint colors and fixture selection. They have good design taste. Once the project was underway the project managed nearly every aspect of this. Once the house was renovated and staged it looked amazing- beyond our expectations. They then segued into the pricing, listing, marketing, and showing tactics. They had a great sense of the Bay Area market at large as well as the specific neighborhood nuances that would be key to a successful process. They did the big things like managing a renovation and the small things like daily watering of the plants so they'd be healthy during the sale. In the end we got an offer above asking price with an efficient hassle free closing. My family was balancing a lot of life logistics at the time- Mykah and Tracy acted with kindness, professionlism, and efficiency at every step. I wish I had a fleet of houses to sell so I can work with them again- but alas- this was a one-off transaction- but it went perfectly.
