Welcome to RateMyAgent.com ("RMA"), a website portal by which visitors to ratemyagent.com, and other related websites, social media web pages and software applications operated by RMA (with ratemyagent.com, each related website, and each software application to be known as the "Site") may provide feedback or commentary on individual real estate agents and real estate brokerages listed on the Site. The "Services" offered on the Site include the ability to access materials, content, and services delivered on or through the Site.

This Privacy Policy covers how we collect, use, disclose and store your personal information, and you should read it carefully prior to accessing or using the information and Services available through the Site. By providing us with your personal information for the provision of our Services to you, you agree to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.


  1. Our commitment to your privacy

    RMA provides a Service which allows you to provide feedback or commentary on real estate agents and real estate brokerages listed on the Site, and for real estate agents and brokerages to manage and utilize their online profiles.

    RMA takes your privacy seriously. We adhere to all applicable U.S. laws relating to privacy, and the collection, use and disclosure of personal information (together, the "Applicable Law").

  2. The information we collect

    We will only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide you with the Services, or which is directly related to our provision of the Services.

    The personal information which RMA collects depends on the nature of your relationship with us.

    If you are an agent, we collect information such as your name, the name of the brokerage you work for, your contact numbers and address, email address, profile photo, property listing details, images of properties you have sold, your sales history, credit card or direct debit details (if you purchase a subscription from us) and payment details.

    If you post a review on the Site, we collect information such as your name, email address, username, password, property address, image of the property, and sale price.

    RMA may collect personal information directly from you, from third parties you have authorized to provide us with such information, or whom provide services to us ("Service Providers"), or alternatively through publicly available sources. Where an agent provides us with information about their sellers for testimonial purposes, we will only use that information in the way authorized by the agent (who must have the seller's consent).

    When you access a Site via a browser or application, our servers may record certain information, including your IP address, web request, GPS locations, session ID's of your interaction with a Service, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, items you click on, pages you view, and the amount of time you spend on particular pages.

    Personal information that you post to public areas of the Site or via your profile may become publicly available. For example, information you post in your profile or in agent reviews, public forums, or any other interactive areas of the Site may be made publicly available and can potentially be viewed by anyone. Your posting to such public areas of the Site constitutes consent to share such information publicly, and you should assume that such information will be widely disseminated, including via search engines and other tools to locate information online (e.g., internet archive).

  3. Anonymity

    We will, if practicable, allow you to use a pseudonym or to not identify yourself unless this is impractical or against the Applicable Law).

    In some instances, if you do not provide us with certain personal information we may not be able to provide you with our Services. This may have an effect on whether we can begin or continue a relationship with you or allow you to use our Services.

    We will only use your personal information for the provision of our Services to you in the ways set out in this privacy policy or in our standard terms and conditions, for any other purpose which we state at the time of the collection, as permitted by law, or as required to provide the Services.

    If RMA goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personal information may be among the assets transferred.

    We take reasonable precautions to protect the personal information we hold about you from misuse, loss and unauthorized access or disclosure.
