Buying our new home was something we had never done before. My husband I are retired seniors, he is a disabled VietNam veteran. He came home sick and has suffered the results of that war for 50 years. I too am disabled, we love, look after and care for each other. Our new home will be our safe place, a new gentle home to rest out our years. We could never have done it without Troy Doty. From the start he didn't speak to us like he was doing business and he didn't treat us like we were old and easy to placate. He gathered ALL of the information, instructions and stacks of helpful guidance on the smart system, water purification and all of the updates made. He arranged for inspectors and appraisers we chose. Troy held our hands and took away some of the fears that we had but he didn't have to. We thought we were very lucky to have found a kind and dedicated real estate agent. We didn't find out until later that Troy owns his agency. He is truely dedicated. He is still in touch, making sure we're OK and have everything we need. Want to say first that it's been a tough sales market lately and there were particular challenges that were unavoidable with selling my place, challenges that in no way reflect on Shayda. Shayda did everything she could to keep the sales price up in a difficult market. She had open houses basically every weekend, which I don't see many real estate agents doing. She got a good stager for the property who knew how to make it look attractive. Shayda has been my real estate agent for over 8 years, helped me buy my first place, and recently helped me sell that place and buy a new one. She's always been very helpful about the process and great at communicating what's going on and being responsive, even at all hours of the day and weekends. She'll be realistic with you about her recommendations - which are usually the right thing to do! - but will defer to you to make final decisions, even if they disagree with what she recommends. For all these reasons and more, I highly recommend her!
