Melissa has a deep-rooted passion for helping people—and it shows in everything she does. After 14 years as a beloved children’s librarian, she transitioned into real estate with a heart for service, a talent for research, and a knack for connection. Now a dedicated REALTOR® serving the Portland metro area, Melissa guides buyers and sellers with warmth, wisdom, and an eye for detail.
Her approach to real estate is deeply personal. She sees every transaction as a shared journey, partnering with clients as their advocate and “knowledge broker.” Whether she’s diving into the hunt for the perfect home or collaborating with sellers to launch a listing, Melissa brings the same care, curiosity, and dedication she offered in storytime circles—just with more paperwork.
A long-time Lake Oswego resident, Melissa is known for her rich community involvement. She serves on the boards of both the Arts Council of Lake Oswego and the Oregon Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and is always finding ways to give back. Her love for Oregon runs deep—from walks at Iron Mountain Park to hosting backyard gatherings with her family of four.
Melissa’s love of homes goes beyond transactions. As a self-proclaimed maximalist, she delights in design that reflects individuality, layering beloved objects and art with romantic rustic touches, cozy built-ins, and sun-filled spaces. Feng shui and flow matter as much as curb appeal—especially if there’s a wood-burning fireplace and bookshelves.
Local Favorites
Melissa has a deep appreciation for neighborhoods that blend beauty, history, and community. She’s especially drawn to NW Portland—particularly Forest Heights, Arlington Heights, Hillside, Kings Heights, Forest Park, and the beloved Alphabet Streets. These areas, with their 1930s storybook homes, whimsical Victorians, and charming brownstones, offer a magical blend of walkability and character. She finds serenity at the International Rose Test Garden and among the forested paths of Washington Park, where nature and city blend effortlessly.
Closer to home, Melissa loves Downtown Lake Oswego. One of her favorite summer rituals is boating into the heart of downtown to catch a movie at the local theater. She frequents the Lake Oswego Farmers Market every weekend, enjoying the fresh produce, flowers, and live music. Strolls through town often end with a scoop of Salt & Straw or a cocktail at Mann’s Bar—a neighborhood gem. For a peaceful reset, she heads to Iron Mountain Park, where a quiet, thoughtfully designed trail leads into lush forest just minutes from home.
