About Melissa
Melissa has a deep-rooted passion for helping people—and it shows in everything she does. After 14 years as a beloved children’s librarian, she transitioned into real estate with a heart for service, a talent for research, and a knack for connection. Now a dedicated REALTOR® serving the Portland metro area, Melissa guides buyers and sellers with warmth, wisdom, and an eye for detail. Her approach to real estate is deeply personal. She sees every transaction as a shared journey, partnering with clients as their advocate and “knowledge broker.” Whether she’s diving into the hunt for the perfect home or collaborating with sellers to launch a listing, Melissa brings the same care, curiosity, and dedication she offered in storytime circles—just with more paperwork. A long-time Lake Oswego resident, Melissa is known for her rich community involvement. She serves on the boards of both the Arts Council of Lake Oswego and the Oregon Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and is always finding ways to give back. Her love for Oregon runs deep—from walks at Iron Mountain Park to hosting backyard gatherings with her family of four. Melissa’s love of homes goes beyond transactions. As a self-proclaimed maximalist, she delights in design that reflects individuality, layering beloved objects and art with romantic rustic touches, cozy built-ins, and sun-filled spaces. Feng shui and flow matter as much as curb appeal—especially if there’s a wood-burning fireplace and bookshelves. Local Favorites Melissa has a deep appreciation for neighborhoods that blend beauty, history, and community. She’s especially drawn to NW Portland—particularly Forest Heights, Arlington Heights, Hillside, Kings Heights, Forest Park, and the beloved Alphabet Streets. These areas, with their 1930s storybook homes, whimsical Victorians, and charming brownstones, offer a magical blend of walkability and character. She finds serenity at the International Rose Test Garden and among the forested paths of Washington Park, where nature and city blend effortlessly. Closer to home, Melissa loves Downtown Lake Oswego. One of her favorite summer rituals is boating into the heart of downtown to catch a movie at the local theater. She frequents the Lake Oswego Farmers Market every weekend, enjoying the fresh produce, flowers, and live music. Strolls through town often end with a scoop of Salt & Straw or a cocktail at Mann’s Bar—a neighborhood gem. For a peaceful reset, she heads to Iron Mountain Park, where a quiet, thoughtfully designed trail leads into lush forest just minutes from home.

About us

Choosing who you work with should come down to more than a coin toss: Asa Lovejoy and Francis Pettygrove were two of the area’s original settlers. Both men wanted to name the new town after their respective hometowns. To settle the dispute, they flipped a coin. Pettygrove won the coin toss two out of three times, and the town was named Portland after Portland, Maine. If Lovejoy had won, the town would have been named Boston after his hometown in Massachusetts. Jenny began her real estate career in 1998. Charles followed in 2003 and they joined one of the country’s most recognized real estate franchises. They founded the Turner Team under the umbrella of a franchise in 2010. In 2017 we opened Lovejoy Real Estate, a locally owned independent real estate brokerage. Our main office is in Northwest Portland with satellite offices in Vancouver, Washington and Salem. Exceptional!

It’s obvious that Jenny knows the real estate business inside and out. After she helped me sell my previous home she helped me navigate with kindness and grace the purchase of my condo. With every pivot and wild idea on my part, she patiently helped me along until I found the perfect new home. She helped to educate and explain everything so that I could make good decisions. She also has an incredible team that jumped in on a moment’s notice. The folks that she works with are also top notch!!! Out of all of my buying and selling experiences this has been by far the easiest and least stressful. I won’t hesitate to recommend her. Thank you Jenny

Great experience; Great agent

Andreea is on the ball. Communication was timely, concise, and clear, all while staying calm, collected, and cool. We actually had a lot of fun; and that mattered because buying/selling a house is no small thing. Andreea has our eternal gratitude for making it so easy.

Smart, caring and communicative ray of sunshine!

Emmy was our first ever realtor and woweee, we lucked out. She did a killer job teaching us newbies about the ins and outs of buying a house. She was readily available and quick to act when we had a need arise. She gave us helpful advice around factors to consider with each house we saw. She supported us in finding a better fit in a lender when we were feeling confused and stressed. She was attentive to us as people and our home preferences and did a great job anticipating our needs. Emmy is also just a sweet and caring person whose bubbly vibe made the process less daunting overall. I'd definitely recommend Emmy to anyone looking to buy a home in Portland!
