I didn’t know who to call for a real estate agent in Ocean City, Maryland. The first realtor I tried, Vinny Steo, his secretary answered the phone, and she just couldn’t be bothered. In contrast, Dave Whittington, answered his phone, and made me feel my condo would get the proper attention for a sale. It took us 1.5 years to sell because the siding and roofing were more than 40 years and was just starting to show their age. The roof began leaking during down pours. Dave who lives locally in Ocean City, has the ability to check on the property as needed. Through the first year, Dave stopped by every time it rained or the temperature dropped very low. And thank God he did. He went in my home and placed towels on the hardwood, sun-room, floor to sop up water which had leaked from the roof. Another time he stopped by after a snow storm and discovered that my HVAC system wasn't working at all and a leak was coming from under the sink! He told me the indoor temperature had dropped to 40 degrees. He instinctively turned off the water to prevent further water damage, and called me right away. I was able to get the HVAC company in real time and they had me purchase a brand-new $1000 HVAC motor (it had just passed the 10-year coverage!) After 1 year, I decided to replace the roofing and siding and the home sold within 2 days after the first showing. I’m very pleased with Dave’s service. He advised me about the market and pricing and looked out for me during the closing. He has even told me to call him if I receive any bills and he would take care of it. Thank you Dave for your sincere and dedicated efforts to sell my home at a good price.
