Wanted to thank Toni Wellman & Mark Seaberg of #bigblockrealty so much for their help, work and assistance in selling our condo and then helping us find our house! We sold our condo (Jan '21) in Mission Valley in 2-days, in hopes of finding a house in North County. We looked at over 100 homes and made 25+ offers, over 4 months. Discouraged, we gave up the search, since it was such an inflated, competitive market. ???? We decided maybe this was a sign to finally do a bit of traveling, while both being remote and having all our stuff in storage. Our goal was to have a little adventure and hope that the market (and our luck), might change. ???? We started our new search remotely, while in Croatia ein Late September '21. The very first house we saw, seemed too good to be true- well under our budget, with all the amenities and location we were wishing for. ?? Our awesome realtors- Toni & Mark, tagged teamed it by taking us on a walk through over FaceTime. Mark doing a walk-through in advance and sending us a ton of info on the neighborhood and videos of all areas of the home as well! ???? We made an offer same day. 10 days later, not only was our offer accepted- but the inspections and final negotians were done. ?? At that point we were in London and had to do the loan and final escrow docs at the U.S. Embassy. 14 hrs later, we had all of our docs printed, signed, notarized, QC’d and shipped next-day, back to San Diego. ?? We we’re so blessed to have a dream team, now our dream home and dream situation- where the sellers are renting the house back from us until we return to the states in January '22. ? Thank you Toni for being the tenured, knowledgeable and tough negotiator we needed through all phases of this process. This is our third time buying a home and by far the smoothest one! I am a veteran and use the VA and had no problems at all. Carlos was able to explain the ins and outs of the VA loan and even taught me a few new things. With the current market was pretty stressful time buying a home but with the added knowledge Carlos gave us we are in a great place!
