Buying our first home felt like a big step, and honestly we were not sure what to expect, but working with Michael Valencia made the entire process feel much more manageable. My wife and I started out with very little knowledge. The only thing we knew for sure was that we wanted to use a VA loan. We had a lot of questions about how the zero money down worked and what escrow actually meant. Michael was always patient with us and never made us feel like any question was too small. He explained everything in a clear and simple way, and it was obvious he has a lot of experience working with VA loans. We ended up putting offers in on a few different homes. The first two did not go through, which was disappointing at the time, but it worked out for the best. The home we ended up getting is exactly what we were hoping for. Michael helped us secure a great deal, and it really checked all of our boxes. Four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a two car garage, and a pool, all in a sought after area where homes are hard to come by. Throughout the process, Michael stayed on top of everything and kept us in the loop. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel a lot smoother. We always felt like he had our best interests in mind and was genuinely looking out for us. On top of that, he is also a fellow retired Coast Guardsman, which made working with him even more meaningful for us. We decided to sell our house earlier this year and contacted Andrea to learn about the process. She checked out our house and gave us a list of recommendations about what to do in order to have a quick sale and get the most value back. We spent some time getting our house ready to list and had great communication with Andrea and her team through that stretch. When we had the house empty and ready, she and her team came out and took pictures and got it ready to list (shout out to Alexandria on taking great pictures and getting a listing together that really captured the essence of how we’ve seen our home through all the years we enjoyed it!). Although they’re the experts in realty, Andrea was down to earth and open to some ideas that we had in terms of pricing and the write up, which was nice. She also deferred to us on some important decisions regarding negotiations with the buyers, but gave us guidance when we needed it. When we finally posted the property on the mls, we got an offer in 8 days, and then closed in about 40 days, for full asking price. We couldn’t have imagined our sale going any smoother and would highly recommend Andrea and her team for your real estate needs.
