Emotions permeate everything. Heidi managed the process with depth, intelligence, and poise. She outlined a robust plan, provided crews to touch up cosmetics where needed, and kept to a rational timetable that optimized for best sales outcomes. She did this all while communicating every step along the way and maintaining complete transparency. Ultimately the property was on the market only briefly, the sale price far exceeded the listing price, and a wonderful young family purchased a home that they can grow into for years to come. It was the best of all possible scenarios for all concerned.

Without a doubt, Heidi was integral in helping us move out of the house which was a major process. She has outstanding resources to help make an overwhelming process much easier. We simply could not done it without her! We are so incredibly pleased with the new owners of our long-time (almost 70 years) home - a young family who will have the same experience of making Piedmont their home for many decades. We recently worked with Lisa for the second time, this time to sell our home in Montclair. Once again, she delivered incredible results. From the beginning, Lisa took ownership of the entire process end to end. She coordinated inspections, repairs, cleaning, staging, photography, and all the countless details that come with preparing a home for sale. It made what could have been an overwhelming process feel manageable and organized. One thing that stood out was how proactive and resourceful she was when unexpected issues came up. For example, after a particularly large storm, we discovered a minor roof issue 2 days before offers were due. Lisa jumped into action, getting multiple roofers out the very next day so we could quickly understand the problem and address it before offers were due. Her fast response helped reassure potential buyers and likely contributed to at least one additional offer. Lisa also did a remarkable job marketing our home. Through her network and outreach, our listing gained major attention online, including going viral on TikTok. As a result, our open houses were packed with 60+ groups each day. Despite a challenging market for sellers in Oakland right now, we received 8 offers and ultimately sold significantly above asking (and even above our own hopeful expectations). Throughout the process, Lisa was highly engaged and communicative, checking in frequently with updates. Most importantly, Lisa got results while making a stressful process quite simple for us. Jeff was very competent and thorough. He communicated with me throughout the entire process. Although progress was slow, due entirely to me and the emotion of selling my childhood home after my mother’s passing, he was patient and kind. He was helpful in recommending resources for removal of household items, cleaning, etc. He also did not try to upsell services. Originally, we thought staging would be beneficial, but when it came time to put the home on the market, staging was not needed and he recommended against it. He was correct. We appreciated his professionalism and integrity. The entire process was seamless. I highly recommend Jeff and Compass and would definitely use his services again. You will be happy dealing with him!
