Originally from Ohio, Julia could be considered a native as she has had roots in Sarasota (Siesta Key, specifically) since 1978. She made her dream to make Sarasota, FL her permanent home a reality years ago. Her family were the proud owners of one of the very first condominium complexes on Siesta Key. She has seen, firsthand, the growth and development over 5 decades and understands the value of owning property in such an amazing area of Florida. She is an experienced professional with specialized knowledge of luxury and waterfront property. Julia develops a unique business plan for every client to achieve each closing. Whether creatively marketing a Seller's home, energetically negotiating a sale for future homeowners, or helping families take their next steps in life, Julia's knowledge, commitment, and skills are unmatched.
Before joining Coldwell Banker, Julia worked in non-profit administration. She focused on the development of educational, outreach and volunteer activities and handled every aspect including marketing, training and the financial aspects of the programs. Julia also many years of experience in the banking industry working for both large financial institutions as well as a smaller credit union.
She received her BS from The Ohio State University, where she specialized in Natural Resources and was involved with The OSU Fish & Wildlife Society and Agricultural Education Society. She also studied Financial Management at Columbus State Community College. Julia continues her education in real estate and has earned many designations and certifications and keeps up with the ever-changing market and tools of the business. Julia recently earned Coldwell Banker International Diamond Society for her production in 2021, 2022, & 2023 placing her in the top 15% of agents worldwide. Also in 2021, she earned her Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Certification, Realtor Association of Sarasota Manatee's Certified Waterfront Specialist Certification and has also been a Florida Realtors Honor Society Member for the past 8 years. In 2022 she re-earned and renewed her Certified International Property Specialist designation, which expands her Real Estate knowledge and reach across continents.
Julia is active in several community and professional boards. She. She is currently serves as Realtor Association of Sarasota Manatee's Treasurer, serves on Florida Realtors Board of Directors and is a mentor to colleagues (and mentee as she is always learning to improve her craft.) Shas also served as Women's Council of Realtors Sarasota President in 2018, Women's Council of Realtors Florida District Vice President in 2019 and Governor in 2020. She also served many years as a Board of Director for the Humane Society of Sarasota County.
