Heather and Leslie were amazing when it came to selling my home. My house had been on the market for over a year with another company before I reached out to them. By the time I met them, I was overwhelmed and exhausted and nearly ready to give up on the process (even though that wasn't an option). They helped break everything down into manageable steps and made me feel better about the whole process. Heather communicated with me almost daily and took the time to really understand my concerns during the whole process. I'm really glad I reached out to Heather and Leslie when I did. To say Leslie slices through problems like she wields a machete, which as many of you may know, she actually in fact does. She is a native to this community of New Orleans and knows the neighborhoods, the ins, the outs, the potholes, the history, and she certainly helps build the future of this wondrous chaos. Her partner Heather is her lovely pea in a pod parter, and together their team and their actual families are on top of finding any and every way to help their clients get through the ups and downs of buying and selling your home. And if you’re lucky enough to work with them as strangers, you won’t be for very long and your sense of community here will probably never be the same. We worked with Leslie Heindel to find and ultimately purchase a house on the North Shore. Leslie continually went above and beyond and even assisted with advice and guidance on selling our previous home and also with the seller from which we purchased our new home as it was for sale by owner. I would recommend her to anyone house hunting in the city or greater metropolitan New Orleans area.

Heather came as a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. She kept us updated on any new listings that matched our criteria, and helped advise our direction based on what we were looking for in a house/area. She was patient and encouraging during our house hunting trip as we checked out several houses on the agenda. I am so honored to have an opportunity to share my experience of working with Heather Shields as my realtor. After 54 years of hiccups and missteps, I was finally able to purchase a home for just myself. Over the last year, I had almost given up being able to continue to live in my beloved city because of the costs. In fact, I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to have a place of my own. Well then while I was in self-labeled desperate straits, I met Heather through a glowing referral from my boss. I was lucky that she wanted me to stay here, so I thought, let me put someone with my best interest at heart on my team. From there, it was smooth sailing. In retrospect, I've never had a transaction like this that went off without a hitch. Heather listened to my story, felt my rush, and made it happen for me. She had a confident, friendly, knowledgeable tone from day 1 that made me know that things were going to be different. She immediately found a place for me and pulled off the paperwork and then the inspection, appraisal, lender, and title agency referrals referrals seamlessly. She made the closing happen within 30 days which is the bare minimum for any type of purchase that requires financing. Heather was very encouraging and calming throughout the process. I never felt judged or rushed. I also knew that she was looking out for me. While I was gazing at fresh coats of paint, she was checking the inner workings of things that matter. She was determined to find a place that would work best for me. There were even a few things that I didn't think that the seller would address, but she pushed for me, and I even got a new A/C out of the deal! Amazing! Additionally, the apps that she and the lender used made everything so clear and simple. It would have been much harder had I had to drive all over town to sign all of the paperwork. After closing, she also referred me to a locksmith and moving company that were quality. I have been overjoyed everyday since! Thank you!!!

Heather and Leslie were able to sell our first home during a difficult time in the housing market as a direct result of their hard work and determination. They helped us purchase our new dream home by working closely with the seller. The seller had opportunities to sell to others. We are convinced our seller kept the house for us because of the strong working relationship Heather and Leslie built with the seller. Selling and buying at the same time can be extremely stressful. Heather and Leslie were able to make it fun. Their constant communication with us was excellent and much appreciated. We will always be grateful for their efforts.

We interviewed at least 4 agents and called several others before we decided on Leslie Heindel. She worked with us closely as we struggled with the problems of selling a house while already out of the state. Leslie was very knowledgeable of our area of New Orleans and was able to get us a higher price than we expected. We would definitely use Leslie again if we had any real estate dealings in her area.
