Finding and buying a home during the Covid-19 pandemic was difficult and especially more so because I had my dear 93-year-old mother in my care. Practicing distancing, and extreme caution meant we first reviewed our choices by FaceTime. But we found the perfect place with room for mom, a caretaker, and for me who loves to entertain. Karen’s concern and understanding made inspections easier, and she even found me the ideal renovator. Tragically, my mother died shortly after closing. Yet Karen continues to be my sounding block, and a willing ear when the power of my loss is overwhelming.
