We were referred by Scott's previous happy clients. We think that we were a challenging couple to work with, given the multiple balls we were juggling during the time of this sale. Scott had the patience of Job. Significant, unusual roadblocks (nobody's fault ) seem to pop up in and around the sale. Scott was in control and smoothly took care of all of them. In all likelihood, we would have punted on the home, except for Scott's calm, patient guidance and professionalism. He seemed to anticipate things that we wouldn't have - and handled them. Always one step ahead of the game, he saved us a lot of time and anxious moments. In our experience, this kind of 6 star realtor service is (unfortunately) uncommon. We cannot recommend the Scott Langa highly enough. Thank you Scott (and Jan) for making our Florida home a reality. We will buy our next home in Florida from you.

Jan consistently proved to be incredibly knowlegable as well as personable. As I was purchasing remotely, she was extremely helpful with our challenging search efforts, always ready to follow-up and pre-view properties for us as they came available. At many occasions, her assistance in seeking the appropriate property in a timely manner was well above and beyond the normal expectations for an agent. Additionally we always felt safe and protected by her judgement and decisions during our search and purchase process. Throughout our stressful search for a new home, Jan was delightful to work with, always bringing a positive and proactive attitude to the process. I would highly recommend agent Jan Melzer for any real estate transactions required, she was a great gift to us!

We thoroughly appreciated working with Jan ... from our first "chance" meeting at the office in her office, to our closing, everything was perfect. She listened and showed us what we were interested (not a bunch of things SHE was) and gave us tremendous feedback and direction. Jan was always on top of the situation, thorough and saw every detail through to the end. I had even recommended her to someone before we closed. I would highly recommend Jan, and would use her again should we need a realtor again.

When you're a RE/MAX Realtor licensed in MD and VA and wish to move to a state 1000+ miles away, you need to choose and depend on another Realtor to handle all aspects of the purchase. You know what's important and the skills necessary for your choice in that Realtor. You need a Realtor who has excellent communication skills, who is timely in returning all calls, texts & emails, who has intimate knowledge of the local market and has the knowledge of real estate and the skills to negotiate the transaction. My wife and I interviewed several Realtors and then we decided Karen MacKinnon of Coldwell Banker was our 'go-to choice'. While in Florida searching for homes, Karen (on very short notice) met with my wife and had homes to view the next day. After viewing one that 'checked all the boxes' we wrote a contract and settled shortly thereafter - for $34,000 under original list price with an additional credit of $2,000 at time of settlement. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice of Karen or our home choice. My wife and I highly recommend Karen and will utilize her services in the future when our need arises.
