When I decided to sell my home, after losing my husband and attempting to keep all of the needed repairs, landscaping and upkeep on a manufactured home sitting on an acre in Vail, I was not at all aware of how to proceed. I had not sold a house in decades, and didn’t know who to contact, or what to expect. I initially responded to a flyer from a realtor who sent out inquires to my community, seeking prospective sellers. She was knowledgeable and eager to take me on, but I wasn’t quite ready to jump in. My children advised me to try several approaches, including wholeselling, before deciding how I would go. After talking to my brother, who had purchased a home a couple of years ago and highly recommended his realtor, Bill Satterly, I was encouraged when he had Bill give me a call. Bill took my information and set up an appointment with me that same week. I asked my son to sit in on our initial meeting to make sure I would make a sound decision. Bill arrived and was very professional, knowledgeable, willing to listen to our concerns, assuring us he would work tirelessly to sell my property. Bill worked with my timeframe, making but not demanding suggestions, and steered me to contractors to make repairs to make the most of what I had. Not having a large budget to work with, Bill maximized what I had and never pressured me to do more. I can honestly say he did a stellar job-my home sold for full asking price to the first couple who looked at it the first day it was listed. There were a few bumps along the way, a few surprises, but Bill handled everything for me and kept me totally informed all the way.
