If you didn’t hire Kimberly Cestari when you sold your house in DC, you made a huge mistake. Or, at least you missed a great opportunity.
My wife and I have bought and sold a few houses in our time, and the best Realtor experience we ever had was with Kimberly. We had been watching her career and reputation grow over the last many years, starting when we bought our first house in Chevy Chase, DC. Even then her signs were everywhere and we kept meeting her at open houses. By the time we decided last Fall to move to MD I knew that we had to hire Kimberly. Her reputation was stellar in every respect, and as she handled what turned out to be a somewhat difficult sale process, she lived up to that reputation.
She is the consummate professional in manner, knowledge, experience, judgement, attentiveness to detail, and availability. Her recommendations of painters, movers, inspectors and other vendors were all very good. Her advice on staging, pricing, and marketing our $1.4 million 100-year old Craftsman style house was spot on. It resulted in what we regarded as a full-price offer rather quickly despite a softening market at the time.
When our buyer began to make unexpected (and in my opinion, unreasonable) demands prior to closing, she deftly handled the negotiations with the buyer’s agent with firm professionalism on our behalf, and with grace and tact. Although I believe she had ample opportunities to comment negatively about the other side, she never took those opportunities.
As we were selling our DC house, we were also buying a house in MD. The two transactions were related which meant that Kimberly fielded many unanticipated calls and requests for information from the MD sellers’ agent, even as she was putting out fires for us in DC.
Please consider Kimberly Cestari when you decide to buy or sell a house in DC. She deserves your business.
