Evert knows how to enjoy all the Gulf of Mexico and the intracoastal waterways have to offer, especially when it comes to boating and fishing. When he travels Key West is a favorite. North Carolina Mountains, where he once lived is also a travel destination. He spends quality time with friends playing in a golf league and participates in charity tournaments. He is a committed father of a 17-year-old son, who plays high school football. They also like to play paintball and go-cart racing when they are not attending the Buccaneers, Rays, or their favorite, the Lightning games.
