Born and raised in Phoenix Arizona, Dan has developed a unique perspective of how the Phoenix area has grown, changed and adapted over the years. This valuable insight has been extremely beneficial to many of his clients when searching for an area that meets their particular needs. Dan began his full time real estate career in 2004 here in the Valley and hasn’t looked back. This 20+ years of helping his clients accomplish their real estate dreams has taken him through every corner and facet of the Valley Real Estate market. He has experience in every area and every price range which gives him a valuable skill set to assist his clients that may be new to the Valley. From first time homebuyers, to experienced investors, to luxury homebuilders, Dan’s real estate knowledge is his most valuable asset to his growing client’s demands. During his free time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family, hiking Phoenix area trails, helping with his son’s hockey team and discovering new Valley restaurants and attractions.
Dan attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff where he earned a Communications degree in Advertising and graduated Cum Laude. Dan still uses his knowledge of Advertising and Marketing today to help his clients stay ahead of the competition. After NAU, Dan returned to the Valley to start his career in real estate which had always been in his blood. His great grandparents purchased, renovated and sold hotels in California before moving the Mullarkey family to Arizona in the 1950s.
Dan's real estate career began just before the "Housing Boom" that the Phoenix area experienced in 2005, which led to a tumultuous time in Valley real estate. When the market "crashed" in 2008, Dan shifted gears and began listing foreclosure and short sale properties. Dan's listing clients included including Fannie Mae, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase, HSBC and others. The REO (Real Estate Owned) business carried him through some of the most difficult times that we have seen in Arizona real estate and taught him many valuable lessons.
Dan is currently an Associate Broker of West USA Realty in Scottsdale Arizona and holds many real estate designations. Dan has won multiple 40 Under 40 and Top Producer awards over the years and is a respected member of the Scottsdale Association of Realtors.
