I expected the process of finding my first home to take at least one year. In my mind, I set aside 2 months just to find the right agent, and then 10 months of searching for the right home. Kathy was the first Realtor I reached out to, on a Thursday, and told her I was agent shopping, didn't want any commitment and was planning to take my time for this process. Kathi had us covered in all aspects of purchasing a great home in Chino Valley, AZ from offer to move-in while basically sitting on my sofa in San Diego, CA. She had a great supporting team in a lender, title agency, and inspectors. I needed only to make two 1-day trips to AZ from CA to be there for the home inspection and sign the closings docs, both trips were of my choosing and could have been done via other means. The entire process took but 45 days from day of offer till day of move in with no real hiccups to speak of doing the entire process.
