Immediately after high school in 2005, I enlisted in the U.S. Army as a 13F Forward Observer for the Artillery. I had a very successful 5 year career which included 2 tours of duty in Iraq. I was in Baghdad as part of the "Troop Surge" of 2007-2008 and stationed in northern Iraq in 2009-2010. I decided I wanted a family, and the Army life wasn't conducive to the type of family life I wanted to have, so after my last tour, I returned home and enrolled in college at Black Hills State University.
While enrolled and attending classes I became a Rapid City Police Officer. I loved that career. I made a lot of friends and learned many valuable lessons over the 2 years that I was there. I was involved in 2 shooting incidents in early 2012 and decided it was a sign that I should shift my career focus elsewhere. I had purchased my first home while I was a cop, and always felt it was a strong possibility for me to become a Realtor, so in March of 2012 I began studying for my Real Estate License.
I obtained that license in June of 2012 and quickly found that my extreme work ethic and passion for service put me miles ahead of my peers. Within my first 3 years I was in the top 5% of agents in my market according to sales volume. I have continued to provide top tier service and guidance to my clients and as the Broker/Owner of Ascend Realty Inc. I am now dedicated to creating a group of agents who can provide that same elevated level of service under my guidance.

It was a smooth process from beginning to end working with Henry!
I was living in SC wanting to move back to SD and was fortunate to find Henry. He took the time to get to know what I was looking for and the timeline in which I wanted to move. I was able to fly out for a weekend (with my mother!) and we toured 7 homes around the Rapid City area. He was knowledgeable of the different areas and what they could offer me if I chose to live there. Henry was very patient and did not put any pressure on me. With this being the second home I've purchased, and he was able to explain everything in a way I understood without all the "realtor jargon." Henry communicated in a timely manner and kept me informed throughout the whole process. When I found a home, thankfully he was able to offer a solution for a dilemma which could have prevented me from securing the home I wanted. Henry also linked me up with a financial lending group which was very efficient and we were all in constant communication. I would highly recommend Henry to anyone wanting to purchase or sell a home in Rapid City or its surrounding locations. *****

Henry is the man!
Henry took the time to understand my wants and needs. He was able to find me a place that exceeded all my expectations for an unbeatable price. He’s knowledgeable about real estate in the black hills from both a professional and personal perspective. He is a great negotiator and was able to provide me with multiple options to ensure we could close on a property with a good deal. He fights for his clients to ensure they get the best deal. He helped me purchase my first home and made the process seamless. He went above and beyond to help me understand the home buying process and how to identify deal-breaking issues with properties.
