Before we even visited for the first time she did her research lining up listings for us to review online, but when we finally met in person her expertise truly shined! Once we started doing walk-through's she knew what we liked and maybe more importantly what we didn't and she didn't waste our time showing homes she knew we wouldn't be interested in. Not only did she help us find our perfect house she also helped us transition into our new community by recommending local contractors, places of interest/entertainment and great local restaurants. Carlo has been exceptional from start to finish. His communication style is clear, consistent, and proactive — he always kept me informed without ever leaving me guessing. When it came to negotiation, Carlo was strategic and persistent, ensuring every required fix was addressed and that my interests were fully protected. What truly sets Carlo apart is his professionalism and long-term commitment. Even months after closing, he continued helping us resolve an issue with the home’s solar panels. The companies involved were slow to respond, but Carlo stayed on top of the communication and pushed for progress when we couldn’t get traction on our own. The Cheek Team was recommended to us through a friend of ours. My wife & I felt very comfortable beginning with our first face to face meeting with Katherine. We had spoken to her on the phone & through emails regarding what we were looking for in NC and she delivered! She listened to what we wanted in a home & a community, and she found it for us. Being from the Northeast we were concerned about the Carolina storms and flooding and Clif did a great job of explaining all of that to us. He made us feel comfortable in the choice we made. Working with them, we had many questions and as they answered them for us, we came to realize how knowledgeable this team was, not only in the real estate market but also the surrounding areas. We had to communicate quite often through emails, text messages and phone calls because we are not from the area, and everyone on this team was very responsive. Jayne would also reach out to us from time to time to see if we had any questions or to follow-up on previous correspondence. We really appreciated that! Anytime we had a face to face meeting with our contractor, either Clif or Katherine was there with us. We always felt like they were looking out for our best interest. During one of our last meetings with the contractor (The Final Walk Through), Katherine was very helpful in picking out areas that needed a little extra attention before we closed. The Cheek Team also recommended and independent home inspection before the close which turned out to be very helpful (small items but another comfort level in the choices we made). Overall, we were very happy working with The Cheek Team and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for their "forever home". Thank You again for everything you did for us!
