As a land conservation professional who's completed dozens of property purchases in multiple states, I've had occasion to work with numerous real estate brokers and agents—some of them really great, but none quite as honest, straightforward, and hardworking as Shannon Toner and her colleagues at Toner Real Estate. I happened upon Shannon by chance, when I inquired about one of her listings. The property, I learned, had just gone into contract, but she quickly discerned exactly what I was looking for, and promptly arranged for me to see a far superior home that was not yet formally on the market. I immediately tendered a purchase offer, and Shannon helped me quickly agree on favorable terms with the seller. She also connected me with an excellent loan officer at a local bank. We went to contract and closed soon thereafter. When it emerged that the seller left some loose ends unattended to, Shannon and one of her colleagues at Toner Real Estate went above and beyond the call of duty post-closing, making sure that everything was expeditiously resolved. Doug made the entire home buying process as smooth as possible. My and my wife's plan was to try and rent out our current home and buy a new primary residence. Doug laid out multiple options for us to try and accomplish that along with his recommendations. Once we chose a path, he was able to manage any bumps in the road, including a tight timeline after an initial appraisal for our HELOC came in lower than expected and we had to an appeal. Once we found our eventual home, Doug asked all of the questions necessary to get as much information as possible from the seller's agent so we could make an informed decision.
