My wife and I are not from the Kansas City area. We moved here right after Covid, bought our house in 2023 in Independence. We recently moved and had to sell our house. Since we work so much we didn’t know what realtor to use. We did our diligent research, interviewed four agents and chose Shaun Ashley and his team. From start to finish, we had a great experience dealing with Shaun and everyone from his office. We were not present in Independence so we had to communicate through phone calls, text messages and emails. Shaun was always responsive to any phone calls or text messages. He kept us abreast with the selling process the entire way with any new updates promptly. We had a few issues with our house and Shaun knew all the right people to call and get the job done. Shaun is very professional, has great communication skill, was up front with us with all the particulars in the selling process. We appreciate that he worked around our schedule to communicate with us with any new pertinent information, often times after business hours. Rene was very organized and knowledgeable. Since this is our first home, we were nervous and didnt really know how the system worked, but Rene gave us peace of mind. She explained all our options and gave us everything in layman's terms so we didnt feel so lost. The process does take a while, finding that perfect property sometimes comes with a wait and see mindset. Every house we declined/disliked got us closer to our true home. Rene was on top of it! She kept finding houses that fit our budget and desired accommodations and eventually we found this one and it felt like a no-brainer. The wait was worth it!
