Enlisting Jay Allen was the first step of the best decision in my life so far. He explained the whole process in the beginning, making clear his role as agent and what I'd need to do as buyer. A big part of this was discussing what my family needs & wants in a home, the benefits & drawbacks (short & longterm) of buying vs renting, and how to go about recieving adequate financing. What I thought I wanted grew more defined as he patiently sent and filtered through the available housing inventory, when one financial institution seemed to have too much on their plate to give me the specific attention I needed he suggested another one (and I got a better deal out of that), he stressed the importance of a QUALITY home inspection, and as a result of that inspection the seller agreed to fix up my now home to a surprisingly strong degree.
