When it came time to sell my family's home of fifty years, and my wife's and my second home for the last twenty years, Martha Knapp was our first and only choice to be our realtor. Not only is Martha a long-standing friend and neighbor, but her expertise in the realty market on the Cape also commended her to us. To give up a home--especially on the Cape--is no easy proposition, yet it was evident to my wife and me that we needed to make this decision. For the last year, Martha helped us through this process, from the initial decision to sell our house to the inevitable sequence of repairs, renovations, and upgrades (including a Title V installation) to the listing of the property and the negotiation of a successful sale. Martha advised what we saw as a reasonable and competitive price, the house was sold within days of being listed, and we realized a slight increase over the asking price. Throughout Martha's services as our realtor were professional, considerate, and supportive. Because we were selling our property from out-of-state, we were more reliant on Martha's assistance than otherwise would probably have been the case. Her recommendations for companies and individuals to do the necessary upgrades, inspections, and certifications were reliable and successful, as was her suggestion for legal services and other related matters. We could not have accomplished the sale of our property in as efficient, effective, and comfortable a fashion without her expertise, assistance, and understanding. Other sellers (and buyers) on the Cape should be so fortunate as we have been.

Ellen worked to get our home sold which is obviously the overall goal however we felt like average efforts were displayed during the process. The written description didn’t really match all that the home had to offer and not much time was spent to find out what makes the place truly special. We felt that the open houses weren’t well advertised in the direct area- strongly depended on on online views - no signs up around the streets the days of, etc. With the market the way it is I understand that these things were probably not overly important in the overall experience however we didn’t quite feel the above and beyond that could have been. Otherwise good experience.
