We originally met Blake through a referral from my mother-in-law who worked in real estate her entire career but had retired. We originally were only in the exploratory phase of considering a new home back in 2024 but Blake was patient with us, and by 2025 we were closer to ready to buy. Blake helped us navigate what was a very tricky "seller's market" in the neighborhoods in Birmingham that we were interested in. We ended up in several bidding wars for houses that we ultimately lost but Blake was always there for us every step of the way and when we finally found the house we ended up buying, Blake was able to help make sure the offer was just right to win against multiple other offers. Likewise when we went to sell our existing home Blake's approach was extremely thorough and high-touch. He likes for a seller to have their own home inspection prior to listing the house, give them the opportunity to fix everything in advance, and greatly smooth the selling process once the home is listed. In our case we also wanted the home staged, which Blake was able to help arrange. By the time our listing went live, we had steady foot traffic and a full price, no contingency offer in less than 3 days! Even coming up with a strategy for how to price the house Blake pulled comps from around the area and also got feedback from other experienced realtors he trusted to help us price it right. He was available almost anytime, and always clearly communicated ahead of time about when he would not be available. When you're with Scott, it is evident that you are the priority. Scott cared. That was more important than anything else to my wife and I. From our first meeting to countless house showings and offers and the ultimate contract, inspection, and closing he cared.
