Relocating 850+ miles from another state can be an incredibly daunting undertaking but Tina made the entire process seamless and stress-free. From our first conversations online to our first in-person meeting she took the time to understand what we were looking for in a new home and community. Tina's extensive knowledge of the coastal market and neighborhoods, especially coastal specific considerations like flood zones, insurance etc. helped us out a lot in making our final decision. Before we even visited for the first time she did her research lining up listings for us to review online, but when we finally met in person her expertise truly shined! Once we started doing walk-through's she knew what we liked and maybe more importantly what we didn't and she didn't waste our time showing homes she knew we wouldn't be interested in. Not only did she help us find our perfect house she also helped us transition into our new community by recommending local contractors, places of interest/entertainment and great local restaurants. The Cheek Team was recommended to us through a friend of ours. My wife & I felt very comfortable beginning with our first face to face meeting with Katherine. We had spoken to her on the phone & through emails regarding what we were looking for in NC and she delivered! She listened to what we wanted in a home & a community, and she found it for us. Being from the Northeast we were concerned about the Carolina storms and flooding and Clif did a great job of explaining all of that to us. He made us feel comfortable in the choice we made. Working with them, we had many questions and as they answered them for us, we came to realize how knowledgeable this team was, not only in the real estate market but also the surrounding areas. We had to communicate quite often through emails, text messages and phone calls because we are not from the area, and everyone on this team was very responsive. Jayne would also reach out to us from time to time to see if we had any questions or to follow-up on previous correspondence. We really appreciated that! Anytime we had a face to face meeting with our contractor, either Clif or Katherine was there with us. We always felt like they were looking out for our best interest. During one of our last meetings with the contractor (The Final Walk Through), Katherine was very helpful in picking out areas that needed a little extra attention before we closed. The Cheek Team also recommended and independent home inspection before the close which turned out to be very helpful (small items but another comfort level in the choices we made).
