Let me start by saying I'm not one to write reviews for much of anything, but I feel Melissa is absolutely worthy of one. The first time I met Melissa was roughly 13 years ago when I was one of those lookey-loos, wandering into an open house three doors down from my home. My intention was to glean home improvement ideas for my own home. I went in set with my rebuttal to dissuade her from trying to sell my home and buy something somewhere else in a house and neighborhood I couldn't afford. I made it clear from the moment I walked through the door that I wasn't interested and she welcomed me in with open arms, and cookies (REALLY good cookies, might I add.) Melissa never tried to sell me and because of her laid back, no-nonsense way about her, we instantly hit it off. For YEARS after our first encounter, Melissa went above and beyond to make it known she was thinking about me and my young family. Yes, she was building relationships to help her become successful in the future, only the smartest people do, but she also was building a genuine friendship. Melissa shared information and knowledge that you cannot get from neither Redfin or Zillow. Her connections with the realtor community also made her manage the bidding process very smoothly. During our search she would give us pros and cons of the properties that gave us invaluable information for our decision making.

Melissa and her team did a phenomenal job in selling my home. Melissa took my homes list price of $1.25 million to $1.6 million in 24 hrs. They cleaned while I was in Michigan put furniture in the garage that didn’t need to be in the home. They purchased new towels for the bathrooms handled everything from termite inspections buyers home inspections and more. I have bought and sold many homes over my lifetime and never had an agent who went above and beyond to insure a smooth and seem less transaction and as an attorney this is important to me. Melissa was fantastic at communication. She helped my parents a lot. They really struggled selling their home of 40+ years and she was there every step of the way to make sure they felt supported and answered all their questions. She gave them the space they needed to get things done, but followed up consistently. She showed respect for their circumstances and feelings, but also laid put the realities of selling and what that would entail. She is a fantastic advocate and really looked out for their best interest to get them the most out of the sale of their home, when buyers were really trying to take advantage of their situation. I would definitely recommend her to others.

My husband and I were referred to Melissa Huk by another realror that’s helping to get us into another house up North. My husband and myself lived out of area making it harder for us to do things or navigate through the rental mess. Well, where does one start. I needed to sell my home when the pandemic was in full force. I was in full panic mode which is an understatement but wanted out of the states. It just so happens when I mentioned wanting to sell my home one of my best friends and colleagues said “I have the perfect agent” she was someone he used to help him and his wife buy a home in Bay Ho.
