Google verified review First I'll start off this review with "Phenomenal" I wished I had time to write a novel for all that Melissa did for us. My wife and I made a split decision to sell our home while the market was still hot. My wife had a good friend that was a broker in another state mind you and had expressed an interest in selling our house but, before we could say another word my wife's friend said " I have the perfect realtor there in San Diego for you" someone she had refereed clients to in the past⁰. That's how we found Melissa. We scheduled a day to have Melissa out to look at our home and make any suggestions on what's needed to move forward with selling. Within 3 hrs of leaving our house Melissa had emailed a spreadsheet which outlined details of the work she recommended. We hired Melissa she started the project on a Tuesday, she was done on Thursday. Within 48 hrs of being active we had 16 offers, went to escrow that Monday and closed in 21 days for $63k over list price. Melissa was firece at negotiating, yet never compromised our equity. We are without a doubt very grateful to Melissa for what she did for us. Melissa was great to work with. I found her on Yelp. I was looking for a skilled agent with military experience and working with absentee owner. I had been renting out my home for 2 years before deciding to place it on the market. Needless to say that was a nightmare for us because the tenants used COVID to keep people out. Melissa is the model for what home buying should be like. We began our search from across the country, but it was like we were in San Diego the entire time, because Melissa went everywhere for us, and with us (via Facetime). Melissa was extremely professional and personable. We enjoyed working with her. We received multiple offers the first weekend on the market. She guided us through the process and gave us sound advice. We did not take the highest offer, but still got well over asking price and closed within 30 days. We have had the pleasure of working with Melissa Huk on several real estate transactions over the years but none has been more lucrative that our most recent transaction. Melissa’s savviness and firm grasp of the real estate market’s volatility, understanding its key indicators on when it is a buyers’ market and when it is a sellers’ market, so as to take full advantage of the current situation so as to maximize your profit and investment was nothing short of outstanding!! We had a vacation ranch style home here is San Diego that we had renovated many years ago as we had envisioned in retiring into one day. Given the craziness of the most real estate market with historically low interest rates while supply of inventory at an all time low, Melissa suggested to us that we may wish to consider “testing the market” with our vacation ranch style home. Melissa has always been “on point” with her real estate advice!!! So we pondered over Melissa’ suggestion of putting our ranch style home on the market and decided to swing for the fences. If we didn’t get the price point we desired, we could easily take it off the market. Melissa knew how emotionally attached we were with the property and although it was “turn key already”, just to try and take things to the next level so as to maximize its value, she decided to stage the property as well. After being on the market for LESS THAN 1 weekend, we got “countless multiple offers”, all WELL ABOVE our asking price!! Melissa was an incredible Realtor®. With her, I comfortably purchased a home as a first-time buyer, sight-unseen and entirely remotely, from the East Coast, during peak COVID19 controls. I always felt like a priority, but I never felt like a burden. Her high standards and attention to detail proved to be invaluable.
