About Kelly

I grew up in the charming southern city of Savannah, Georgia. I spent majority of my life in Savannah and graduating from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2001. I had the honor and privilege of attending AASU on a volleyball scholarship. While in college I was asked to coached Junior Olympic volleyball for Low Country Volleyball Club. I started with an 11 and under team and coached them through high school graduation. After graduation, while continued to coach youth and high school volleyball, I also worked for Limited Brands as a manager. In 2006, I moved into the finance industry at HSBC Beneficial. But, not too far behind was the Crash of 2007. With a change in the economy came a change in careers. I took a leap in to the judicial system working as a Civil and Domestic clerk for two Chatham County Superior Court Judges. In 2010, I moved to Central Florida with my family. I started working for The Villages Commercial Property Management. In 2013, I joined the sales team at The Villages, where I was fortunate to make may lasting friendships. Feeling the need to make the next step in my career, I joined Down Home Properties. I am very excited to have the opportunity to continue to grow my business and continue to make dreams come true. I am very blessed to have loving husband, two sons and a step-daughter. My youngest is William. He loves football, horses and riding dirt bikes. My oldest is Riley. His passions are blacksmithing, trucks and dirt bikes. My step-daughter graduated from the Villages High School in 2016 and is pursuing her passions of softball and horses. My husband, while being the best husband and father in the world, helps me keep it all rolling in the same direction. I have always been an outdoors kind of girl. Being the oldest of three daughters, my dad raised me to be rough and tumble. I love hunting, fishing, boating, mudbogging and horseback riding. My sport of choice was always volleyball. I started playing my sophomore year of high school and I was hooked! Once here in Florida I took up boxing and Korean kick-boxing and most recently sky-diving. Kelly came to our property looked things over got back to us in two days told us what the property was worth. We agreed on a sales price property sold in a week. Her on line expert knowledge was great, she covered all the boxes is why i think it sold so quickly. she has a great personalty, and my wife an i are great full. great job

Excellent Realtor!

Kelly Shipes was so amazing to work with and I will continue to work with her in the future for any real-estate needs. She's was so patient with me and answered all my questions and there were many. Greatly pleased with home buying experience

Kelly is very personable so was easy to spend days with her during our hunt for a villa. She was very knowledgeable of all the areas we were looking at and could tell us what each had to offer. We were showed various villas in our price range so we could see and compare them. It was a great experience.

Easiest Home Buying experience

We knew early on from read reviews Kelly was going to be our agent. We starting look for our home end of November. We saw a house with Kelly which turned out to be what we did not want. Kelly took time out of her day to show us two other houses the last we placed an offer on and moved in Dec 29. By far the easiest and most attentive agent. Couldn’t have asked for better!!!
