We purchased this home using John McKay as our agent 6 years ago. He was soo great we contracted him to sell it this year. I think John and his team have a very good / realistic approach to help buy / sell your home. We did not get the overblown fluff that some realtors give you when the come buy to look at your home to sell. John and Renee King told us in realistic terms what we should do to prepare our hose for sale, and what not to go overboard about. That helped us narrow down our time / workload and expenditure to get the house ready. They had a good plan on market timing, and idea of what we could realistically expect to sell the house for. So did it work - You Bet! We received multiple offers, and they helped in negotiating the deal - price and likelihood to close. All through the escrow process they kept us informed. When I first contacted John, I was only entertaining the idea of selling my FoPo house. He came over and spent over a hour answering my many questions about the process, provided tips for home improvements that would offer the best ROI and even gave me a local contractors that would do the needed work (during Covid) at a reasonable price. 9 months later I contacted him again to list my house. I put 12 years of blood, sweat and tears into restoring that house- a 1929 Mediterranean Revival fixer (a rental for 30 years prior to buying it), so I was very emotionally attached and wanted to understand every facet of the selling process. I had a lot of questions throughout the duration it was listed. I also underestimated the amount of time/effort involved in packing up 95% of our stuff to show the house- so I pushed the listing date 3x before I was ready.
