I highly recommend John and his excellent team for buying and selling homes. Recently͏ sold a home I bought with John 5 years ago. John genuinely cares about his clients, is extremely knowledgeable of the PDX and Vancouver markets, and gives great advice. Plus, he's an all around great guy and I loved working with everyone on his team. John and Renee, the listing agent, were highly effective and made selling my first home so easy. You won't regret working with John and his team.

Great team, understood the difficult market but found us the perfect buyer!

We purchased this home using John McKay as our agent 6 years ago. He was soo great we contracted him to sell it this year. I think John and his team have a very good / realistic approach to help buy / sell your home. We did not get the overblown fluff that some realtors give you when the come buy to look at your home to sell. John and Renee King told us in realistic terms what we should do to prepare our hose for sale, and what not to go overboard about. That helped us narrow down our time / workload and expenditure to get the house ready. They had a good plan on market timing, and idea of what we could realistically expect to sell the house for. So did it work - You Bet! We received multiple offers, and they helped in negotiating the deal - price and likelihood to close. All through the escrow process they kept us informed. We felt that we were in good, professional hands all the way. And it fact, John helped us locate a fantastic realtor in the city we were moving to help us buy our next house. Thanks John and Renee.

John and his team have been outstanding. They helped us both buy and sell a home and I could not recommend them more highly. You simply can't go wrong with them. They work very hard for you and you can trust them completely to do what is best for you.

John did a terrific job marketing our house we had multiple offers the very first showing .

John and his partner, Jordan, really went above and beyond in helping us find a new home in such a volatile marketplace. Both were very responsive to our constant barrage of questions, and they ran interference with all of the various entities involved in buying a house, allowing us to focus on our wedding at the same time.

John and his team made the home buying process very easy. This team listened as we expressed what we needed and what we hoped for and they did their best to find homes that met our criteria. The process can be daunting, but our realtor, Jordan, helped to streamline things as much as possible and frequently checked in to see if we had questions or anything and to keep us in the loop about what was happening. I would use them again!

When I first contacted John, I was only entertaining the idea of selling my FoPo house. He came over and spent over a hour answering my many questions about the process, provided tips for home improvements that would offer the best ROI and even gave me a local contractors that would do the needed work (during Covid) at a reasonable price. 9 months later I contacted him again to list my house. I put 12 years of blood, sweat and tears into restoring that house- a 1929 Mediterranean Revival fixer (a rental for 30 years prior to buying it), so I was very emotionally attached and wanted to understand every facet of the selling process. I had a lot of questions throughout the duration it was listed. I also underestimated the amount of time/effort involved in packing up 95% of our stuff to show the house- so I pushed the listing date 3x before I was ready. John was super patient despite all my panicked moments, questions and delays. We sold the house in time to move into my new place when it closed and got over the asking price. Thanks John!

John and his team are an absolute blessing to work with. I highly recommend their expertise in Oregon real estate - especially Southeast Portland. As a first time home buyer, I couldn’t have maneuvered through the process so efficiently without their help. Furthermore, their response time and industry contact list is amazing. You can trust the McKay Home Selling Team for the very best home buying + selling experience!

John knows the market. He grew up in Portland. He is a top producer but handles all his clients personally. When it comes to negotiating, you want John on your side. As a former loan officer who worked with dozens of agents, John is the agent I will use and recommend.

John and his team were amazing in every aspect of our home selling and buying experience. We were able to simultaneously sell and purchase with the support, insight and attention to detail that John brings to his work. We would unequivocally recommend John for all of your real estate needs!
