I decided to sell my duplex and was nervous and overwhelmed at the thought of what it would take to get it done; fortunately, Alison Hurd was my realtor. To begin with, one thing I think anyone using a realtor would appreciate is that, at the beginning of the process, Alison was very clear about what to expect in the selling process: in my case as a seller, these were things like problems with offers, likelihood and issues with loans, inspections, my tenants, etc. It was good to have realistic expectations for the process up front because she was exactly right, and we ended up smoothly dealing with the issues as they arose. So, even when an offer fell though, we were full steam ahead and had another offer very quickly. We then started the process again, but Alison capitalized on what we had learned from the first offer, especially regarding the inspection. Alison used and built on the information we gained the with the first offer which made the new buyer that much easier to work with. And then, suddenly, we closed within a month. Happy Days. Alison also has a big network of people and connections which really helped smooth out the bumps in the road. She has a “guy” for what seems like anything. The termite company and carpenter we needed were exceptional, knowledgeable and great to deal with. In all, thanks to Alison, my selling experience was simply excellent. I cannot recommend her more highly.
