Richard was fantastic from start to finish. My wife and I are not the easiest people to deal with due to our naivety regarding the process of selling a home. Coupling this with the two of us living in two different counties in the state, while selling in a third county, I was hesitant and wary of the process as a whole. Richard took his time and was very patient with us from the start to finish. He gave us a very realistic and accurate timeline, as well as a realistic and accurate price point. I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially those like me who are unfamiliar with the selling process. Over the years I have used quite a few real estate brokers to purchase and sell homes. By far, Richard McKinney has been the best of them all, both in terms of his superior knowledge of the changing real estate market conditions, his honesty and professionalism. Throughout the selling process he was always available with honest feedback from prospective buyers. Furthermore, this particular transaction was challenging in that we had a strict deadline to sell our house in order not to lose a sizable deposit on another purchase outside of Florida. Sure enough, Richard was able to secure a buyer literally in the eleventh hour, or about a week prior to the deadline. Without any hesitation, I would highly recommend Richard as a broker if you’re interested in purchasing or selling a home in the Port St. Lucie area.

Margaret is the BEST there is! She really listened to us, taking note of what we were asking and even brought up some suggestions that we didn’t even think of. She arranged everything for us to view several homes within our limited time frame. Margaret was amazing to work with. I was pleased to benefit from Richard's deep knowledge of the real estate markets and his broad network among contractors and other professionals in adjacent spaces. His willingness to step up to take care of whatever needs arose -- e.g., removal of furniture/belongings, arranging for unexpected repairs, an unexpected need to visit to the premises, etc. -- was a godsend for a seller like me, located outside the area. Although the market deteriorated during the period of the listing and downward adjustments had to be made to asking price, and consequently proceeds from sale were unfortunately much lower than originally hoped, Richard advised calmly and reasonably during the process, never applying pressure. He simply shared his insights and acted as a sensible sounding board. It would have been even more enjoyable to work with Richard during a rising/seller's market, but all the same, I did enjoy working with him very much.

I can tell you that my experience with Richard and his staff was excellent. I had a challenging situation that required my agent to work around my schedule. In addition, the market had slowed down and I did not want to lose money. Well, I initially hired another agent that just did not have the experience to help. Then my friend said to call Mckinney and I did some research. I knew instantly know he was THE GUY in Port St Lucie! His whole staff and team were excellent and the photos and staging really helped. He even found me an agent in Ocala to work with. I highly recommend Richard and his office Remax GOLD. He is a savior!!!

Richard explained everything, and guided me throughout the whole process. He motivated me to keep going, getting the house cleaned out and ready for the new owners. Even when we ran into issues, he reassured me that we would be fine, and he was right. The house sold easily, and we even ended up making a little more money than we had estimated. Great experience! Also, the other employees at the Remax office were so kind and helpful.
