We were match up with Jon as part of a relocation package through my husband's new job. We felt like we hit the jackpot! Jon was very quick to respond to text messages and calls. He gave excellent and honest advice on individual houses, the market and the buying process. He had great suggestions and recommendations every step of the way as well as made himself available even at the last minute as houses, we were interested in became available. Jon proved very knowledgeable about various aspects of housing issues and conditions (foundation, water damage, siding, etc.) as well as costs to repair or replace that allowed us to make informed decisions. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the Grand Rapids areas with information that helped us become acclimated with our new hometown! Jon walked us through the process of purchasing our new home and kept us well informed throughout each step. We would highly recommend!

Mr. Archbold told me when we first met that he could sell my late brother's house, in the area where the house was located, in 5 to 6 days. It sold in 4 business days at our asking price! Also, when the buyer came back with a request to adjust the price lower due to the age of the roof, Mr. Archbold said no and that he had another offer waiting in the wings. We got our asking price! Also, Mr Archbold went the extra mile for me. I live 3 hrs north of Grand Rapids, and when we decided that the house needed a deep clean, Mr Archbold met the cleaners to let them in the house. That was a big help to me, as it saved me another long trip to Grand Rapids. Thanks Jim!!!! Also, when the photographer showed up to take pictures of the house, Mr Archbold helped in getting the house presentable to take pictures! Thanks, Jim!!! Finally, he really impressed me with the great Remax marketing plan that he presented to me when we first met. He was VERY thorough in explaining the complete marketing plan. I didn’t just find a house—I found the home, and I truly believe that wouldn’t have happened without Jim. From the very beginning, Jim listened—really listened—to what I wanted and never rushed me or tried to push me into something that didn’t feel right. Every question I had (and I had a lot), he answered with patience and clarity. What really set Jim apart was his background in construction. During a showing, he recognized a rare radiant heating system most agents would have overlooked—and took the time to thoroughly check it. That’s when he discovered two zones weren’t working. Instead of glossing over it, he negotiated to have them repaired before closing, saving me from a major headache. The same thing happened with the septic system—when inspections revealed issues, Jim stepped in again and successfully negotiated a full replacement. Jim didn't stop working after he closed the deal, either. The septic repair wasn't complete by the time I closed, but he knew I wanted to get into the house. He continued to follow up with the excavation company and electrician to ensure the work got completed, weeks after I took ownership. Jim doesn’t just help you buy a home—he protects you while you’re doing it, and after. I felt confident every step of the way, and that peace of mind is priceless. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.
