Steve set the price accurately, significantly higher than the other realtor. The offers we got were higher still and I am sure glad our asking price was set appropriately. Then Steve really stepped in and made my Mom's move doable. He helped at every step of the move, knowing movers and folks that helped clear out and clean up the house. His flexibility helped us as the anxiety of the move made it challenging for us to commit to many of the timing details including an accurate closing date. Eileen and Brian were not only knowledgeable about real estate in general terms, but they actually took the time to show us all around Longboat Key, Sarasota and Bradenton. We purchased on our very first trip to the Sarasota area—while we were only here on a first time fact finding mission with the hopes of purchasing in the future. We felt this was a huge ask of the Gillen’s to show us homes AND introduce us to a brand new area, but they did so with pure honesty, zero issue with the time we asked of them, and with the most friendly and supportive demeanor we could imagine. In 2 full days of driving around and seeing available condos, we got to know this selfless and kind couple! When we saw “the one”, they leveled with us, spent considerable time explaining Florida RE to us, and with utmost transparency, assured us that we were making a sound decision. The deal was done in one day thanks to their expertise. To this day, we consider the purchase of our Florida home the best decision we have ever made, especially with the timing that was unbeknownst to all of us. We are blessed and grateful to now, 3 years later, call the Gillen’s our true friends. On a side note, when my husband first started looking at condos online, one of Eileen and Brian’s listings was of interest.
