Home is where you make lasting memories. I am here to help you navigate the sometimes-challenging waters of the home buying and selling process. I transitioned from a 24 year career in ophthalmology/optometry (Eyes), to real-estate to fulfill a long time passion. I became interested in real-estate after flipping my first home with my brother. I have lived in Gainesville since 1997 and have a strong connection to the Gainesville community. When I am not busy helping my clients, I enjoy family time and boating. I look forward to putting my knowledge of Gainesville and the surrounding areas to work for you to find the perfect property/home for you and your family. Kristen Thompson is the team leader for the Thompson Home Team of Better Homes & Garden Real Estate. Kristen has been a Realtor® since 2012, quickly becoming one of the highest performing Realtor® in the Alachua County area. Kristen loves being a Realtor® and helping customers accomplish their goals while making one of the largest financial decisions of their life. Kristen prides herself on being a lifelong learner and earning an MBA. The skills acquired through her MBA program allow her to stay ahead of the market by analyzing market data leading to fact-based research that will help her customers make educated and informed financial decisions. Kristen is also a graduate of the region's premier leadership development program for active community leaders "Leadership Gainesville." Kristen loves living in North Central Florida and has made life long roots here. Kristen previously worked in the cardiac cath lab, which gave her so much pride that she was helping people every day. 10/10 Best Realtor EVER

We LOVED working with Kristal to find our home. We were new to the area, and she did a great job acclimating us and making us feel comfortable, and helping us decide between new construction and a pre-existing home. She gave us pros and cons of builders, of the process, and helped us feel secure and confident in our decision. We ultimately went with new construction, and she provided a great inspector to work with who was so thorough, and has a rolodex of other professionals to tap into. We are so thankful to Kristal for all of her work, and would recommend her to anyone looking for their home.

Passionate and dedicated

We've had the opportunity to work with many realtors over the years, none more passionate and dedicated to looking out for her client's best interests than Kristal. Throughout the home-buying process, Kristal fought tooth and nail with the builder as we addressed accounting errors and other paperwork discrepancies at various stages of the closing process. We affectionately began calling her our "bulldog" as she tirelessly refused to give the builder an inch of leeway. Kristal is as heartfelt with her client as she is tenacious with the seller's agent and builder. Kristal knows when and where to apply pressure and when finesse and diplomacy are required. Her experience and knowledge are evident throughout the home-buying process. We greatly appreciated Kristal's attention to detail in the home walkthrough and buyer inspection. Not one drop of paint, scuff on the wall, or protruding drywall screw escaped her roll of blue tape. Kristal has developed a robust network of trusted contractors, service technicians, and other professionals in the residential home market. This network of trusted professionals is a testament to Kristal's personality, and the respect community professionals have for her.
