Lou is the best realtor I have had the pleasure to work with. I had been looking for a home for years when Lou came into the plan it all started to fall together. For me Lou went way beyond the call of duty to help me find what I was looking for and that is what he did. To top it off when it came time for the paperwork he walked me through it and explain all my questions which made it so much easier. He still checks on us from time to time to this day. Lou is a family man and it comes through in his work with clients. My brother first met him when looking for a house in the Birmingham area and my brother not only gained a house but a great friend. In, turn when it came time for me to sell a home in the Hoover area, while living thousands of miles away in Seattle, Lou was right there, more than willing to take on the extra effort it would be to make the sell happen. He was able to check on the house, help me line up lawn care workers, a handyman for numerous jobs around the house, got me competitive quotes on an air conditioner that went out. He was a savior during what could have been an otherwise stressful situation. Knowing the kind of friend he was to my brother and his willingness to show up and get the job done made it easy to choose him as my real estate agent when I really needed someone to be my eyes and ears from afar. I had no hesitation in contacting him. I knew that he was honest and hard-working. Throughout the home buying process, Lou was very accommodating and professional. He did the little things that made me respect him even more. The service didn’t end with the home purchase. As a first time homebuyer and newbie to Alabama, I was not familiar with the terminology, Birmingham communities, or even questions to ask before putting in an offer or deciding if a home was a good fit. Ann was so patient with me as I dragged her to dozens of homes and open houses. Ann spent time talking about the pros/cons of the different things we saw in each house/community. To put it lightly, I was a very indecisive homebuyer and definitely tested Ann’s knowledge about local communities and types of homes (she passed with flying colors). Above all else, Ann was always honest about what she thought about each property, was always available and helpful, and I always felt that she truly had my best interest at heart. Even now, weeks after closing, she still cheerfully recommends contractors and other service providers when I contact her looking for suggestions. In the future, if I ever decide to move, I will definitely use Ann again to both sell my home and find a new one.
