Given that we are selling our house in the Gables area after 54 very happy years in Merrick, we wanted someone who had a deep connection to the community. As someone who is studying architecture, she knows the ins and outs of town ordinances and codes, and can field most questions a buyer may have in a confident and professional manner. Her knowledge of architecture is a real bonus which she has put to good use in remolding her own Gables ranch. Having given us a tour of her home, we can attest to how creative she is and how she handled every detail of the renovation with skill and thoughtfulness. Since we are seniors who will not be around for the closing, and have no family in the area, we needed someone we could trust to handle things in our absence. From making frequent visits to the house to make certain that all was in order, to arranging last minute inspections by plumbers, utility workers etc., and even arranging for and tossing out a mattress that was no longer needed, Joanna went the extra mile and was a calming and reassuring presence. I recently had to sell my parents home as they had passed away. Martin was excellent to work with. He responded to messages and emails right away, answered questions and concerns knowledgeably. He was thorough in his research and guided me in pricing the property well so it sold without delay. I actually received multiple offers the first week the property was on the market. I was not ready to put the house on the market when I first started speaking with Martin. He regularly followed up with me, when he said he would for status updates. He offered great advice on the negotiations and was always professional and respectful. Additionally, I feel Martin went above and beyond for me. I was selling my parents home, and did not live locally. I was not able to check on the property regularly and was concerned about the oil running out, and the pipes freezing etc. Martin checked on the house regularly for me. I feeel the whole process went smoothly, and believe I was able to get top dollar on the sale because of Martin's efforts. I would highly recommend him.
