Having Joanna Tsue of Blue Island Homes as our real estate agent was a true blessing. Given that we are selling our house in the Gables area after 54 very happy years in Merrick, we wanted someone who had a deep connection to the community. As a member of the Merrick Gables Association, Joanna has donated considerable time and effort to improving and beautifying the community and making it one of the most sought-after areas on Long Island. As someone who is studying architecture, she knows the ins and outs of town ordinances and codes, and can field most questions a buyer may have in a confident and professional manner. Her knowledge of architecture is a real bonus which she has put to good use in remolding her own Gables ranch. Having given us a tour of her home, we can attest to how creative she is and how she handled every detail of the renovation with skill and thoughtfulness. Since we are seniors who will not be around for the closing, and have no family in the area, we needed someone we could trust to handle things in our absence. From making frequent visits to the house to make certain that all was in order, to arranging last minute inspections by plumbers, utility workers etc., and even arranging for and tossing out a mattress that was no longer needed, Joanna went the extra mile and was a calming and reassuring presence.
