We also really appreciated how personal she made the process. She took the time to sit down with us in person, walk us through everything, answer our questions, and make sure we understood what to expect. As first-time home sellers, that meant a lot to us. She also understood that this wasn't just another property to us. It was our first home, and we had put a lot of time, effort, and love into renovating it. She made a point of communicating that to potential buyers and highlighting the work we had done to the home. What impressed us most was how helpful she continued to be even toward the very end of the process. After we had already moved out, she helped coordinate lawn care and house cleaning and even returned our Wi-Fi equipment to the store for us. Those little things took a lot off our plate during an already busy move and went well beyond what we expected. Selling our first home was definitely an emotional experience, but we always felt like our concerns were heard and that we had someone knowledgeable helping us navigate the process. I have been buying and selling real estate for most of my life. There are those that you hire that just do their job and those that go above and beyond. Carolyn is one of those people. Carolyn was referred to me by an acquaintance in Chicago. She is pleasant, knowledgeable, and sharp. She knows her stuff. I sold a four flat with her in Humboldt Park with Carolyn as the listing agent. She assessed the building and ask me to wait a couple months so that I could demonstrate higher rents. She told me that my units were underpriced by a couple hundred dollars and she was right. When lease renewal came we realized over $1100 more in revenue for the building and sold a hair under asking. Carolyn also coordinated painters, concrete vendors and cleaning people. Because I spend a good deal of time of town she let workers in to the property and made sure that things were done in the right way. This was priceless. Carolyn offered to do all of this for me. I have left deals and thought that agent was over-paid. Carolyn is worth every penny! Will only use her from now on.
