Heather knows the local real estate market. She knows when to list, how much to list for, how to promote, how to show, and how to sell. She’s developed her own list of trusted helpers, from plumbers, to inspectors, appraisers, stagers, photographers, and handymen - all of whom she worked with to get my house in tip-top shape and then under contract in a mere three months! I so appreciated her always-calm demeanor and the ‘let’s-get-it-done-with-fun’ attitude she maintained throughout the process. My advice if you’re buying or selling a house in New Orleans: Trust Heather. Then keep calm and carry on. I did. And I’m glad. - Lil

Heather Shields brought her excellent and timely communication skills, her experience and in-depth market knowledge, her well-considered negotiation skills and brilliant negotiating style to our table during the sale of our wonderful property in Algiers Point, and it all mattered and helped with what was a tough process for us personally. She remained caring, conscientious, ethical and professional throughout the process and we felt as though we were represented by the VERY BEST person we could have chosen. She went above and beyond in having the home beautifully furnished for showing, recommending service personnel to make repairs and supervising those repairs while we were out of town. I NEVER ONCE wished for anything more in a realtor. I never once needed something done that Heather did not step up to take care of it. In fact, Heather constantly surprised me with what she was willing to do to help with the sale process. I cannot say enough good things about Heather's intelligence, efforts and accomplishments with shepherding us through the sale, all the way to the closing and beyond, reminding us to cancel insurance and utilities. If you want a realtor to make your home purchase or sale as smooth, swift and easy as possible, you would do well to choose Heather Shields for your realtor. She is the absolute BEST!!!

When we decided to move from the Midwest to New Orleans, we knew we'd need a realtor who would listen, be patient, be our eyes on the ground, with great local expertise and experience. We read through dozens of realtor bios and talked to a few, but one stood out- Heather. Grounded and calming, expert. Wonderful at two way communications and working to understand our wants and needs. Persistent. Dedicated to helping us find the right home from 800 miles away and two trips here to look at homes. Heather gave us everything we needed to make an`informed decision, all with a warm personality and great sense of humor. The end result? We're living in our dream home, in the perfect neighborhood for us, in the best city in the world. And made a good friend in Heather.
