On May 17, 2025, a tornado tore through London, Kentucky, destroying numerous homes and disrupting the lives of literally hundreds of people. Unfortunately, my family was significantly impacted. My wife’s parent’s home was destroyed, and her father lost his life. Her mother was suddenly without a home or a husband/caregiver. My wife and I made the decision to find a home that could accommodate our needs as well as her mother’s. This required the home to be accessible with minimal levels or stairs and a very specific layout. I must say that I never gave much thought to house hunting, real estate sales or real estate agents prior to the events in London. I never would have guessed Lacy and Dustin Hatton would be such an integral part of the recovery process. Their professionalism, determination and patience had value beyond measure. The end result speaks volumes about their hard work. They found the perfect home that allowed Clarissa and I to reassemble the remaining pieces of our family.
