As a first time home buyer it’s a bit overwhelming looking at properties and running the numbers. I had big ideas but in reality a modest budget for Northern California-where you’re looking for a needle in a haystack when you attach the word affordable to your search. Walter was always positive and wise about the pros and cons of a property. I was very picky and he was very patient and helped me to make informed choices so my actual sale was a happy event. Walter has a seasoned knowledge of the real estate market and can easily advise and negotiate smart outcomes for any buyer. He advised me on purchase price and clearly laid out the different scenarios I could choose to win the sale. It was fairly effortless and no drama. It’s already a gigantic internal drama to buy property so having a low drama sale is crucial. That’s where the seasoned experience really comes in handy. While Walter is a consummate professional he also maintains a good sense of humor which is key in finding the right place. As a first time home buyer I could be bogged down by aesthetic choices and needed a light hearted reminder to keep an open mind and a sense of humor at times because carpet and flooring can be replaced and I needed to look past horrendous drapery and see what’s actually behind the curtain. I would absolutely recommend Walter to be anyone’s realtor, but most importantly I’m so glad he was my realtor. I’m really happy with my purchase. For me it was kind of a miracle to find a home within my budget that was also a great property in a great location. Now I just need more of my friends to move into my new neighborhood!
I was so lucky to have found Jose. Many of the realtors, that reached out to me, just wanted my home in Aptos, California on the market asap, to make a quick fire sale, with little regard for the price that I needed to sell it for. Jose mailed me a book that he had written about real estate sales. It was loaded with very insightful methods and tips on how to present, evaluate and best market your home. I have recently experienced some very stressful life events and needed to sell the property for my retirement. For financial and other reasons, my daughters and I did a lot of the renovations. The property needed a lot of repairs and upgrades in order to make it more sellable in a competitive market. Jose, and his very talented wife / assistant Teresa, inspected the home and both of them presented several suggestions for upgrades. They even brought over lots of samples for ideas on how to make the home shine. Teresa has an artistic talent and her input was invaluable! Jose gave me referrals of trades people for projects that I did not want to handle. After spending a lot of my time on all of the improvements, my stress level was high, my energy and interest were quickly waning. I just wanted it to be over with. Jose and his family members came over, spent many hours, spanning multiple days, working on the house. They purchased items out of their own pocket and worked on several of the projects. Their attention to even the smallest details was amazing. When it was time to list the property, he kept me abreast of the market and how best to price and present it. He advised me when some of the offers were not adequate or had too many unacceptable contingencies. He was able to negotiate a sale by offering some creative advice for solving some remaining issues. I inherited this hillside lot through a family member. I was unfamiliar with this area, so I asked for a referral from someone that worked with Teresa prior. I found out quickly that selling a hillside land lot would be a challenge. Teresa put forth a detailed plan of action and continually updated me on next steps. Teresa did the leg work to guide me through how to acquire detailed info to position this lot for sale. Her creativeness and personal touch to details was exactly what I needed. She recognized that this was going to take a special buyer but also saw the potential of this unique lot. Through her expertise and connections, the property sold. Teresa has the right balance of professionalism and thoughtfulness. I truly enjoyed our conversations and would highly recommend her to represent anyone either as a buyer or seller.
