It was clear to me that Paulette was a pro. She has 20+ years of service under her belt and with my transaction it was reassuring to know she had me covered as an experienced agent.

We met Paulette via putting an offer in on a house where she was representing the seller. The seller and buyer (myself) didn't agree on a price so the offer fell through. I wasn't using a buyer agent, because I didn't feel that I needed to spend 3% when I was going to do the work. The biggest investment of your life and you leave it up to someone else - I don't understand that. Anyway we had encountered about 10 seller agents in our search. Paulette was easily our favorite so we decided to hire her to represent us in making an offer on one specific house. We agreed that compensation would be way less then for an agent who ran the buyer around to many houses, and all that. We knew what we wanted and we knew that the work that our buyer agent would have to put in wasn't going to be worth tens of thousands to us.
