We visited no less than 3 times over 6 months looking for a vacation rental, each time looking at as many units as we could over our short stay. Tom was patient, showed us all the units, told us history of the area and the buildings, helped connect us with local businesses and people, and listened. He has kept in touch after and shown to be very thoughtful.

Having never purchased a house or even met a realtor before, I was pretty anxious about the entire process but Tom has a reassuring vibe. He explained everything in terms I could understand, like how the commissions worked, what looking at houses would be like, and listened to me when I tried to explain what I was looking for in a home. Even when we disagreed, I wanted to put an offer on the first house we saw, Tom talked to me in a way that wasn't belittling and gently explained why we should look at a few more houses. One of the many wonderful things about Tom that I really appreciate was when he could tell I didn't like a house but was pretending to be interested because I didn't want Tom to feel like I was wasting his time. He told me I didn't need to have a reason to dislike a house and if I didn't like a house we are out of there. That was so empowering, I don't need a reason to dislike a house and there's no minimum amount of time I have to look at the house. That and Tom calls you "partner". Have a goodnight, parter. Take it easy, partner. See you tomorrow, partner. Tom really makes you feel like you're in it together vs a business transaction.
