About Steve

I was a touring musician for almost 15 years, living in and out of hotels, tour buses, and airports. After so much time on the road, the importance of having a place to call home really resonates with me. It’s been almost 20 years now since I stopped touring. Nearly 1,000 real estate transactions later, I’ve gained some unique experiences and insight into what works in the LA real estate market and what doesn’t. Every client, every home, every transaction is unique. I don’t approach the sale of your home with a one-size-fits-all model because that isn’t going to work best for you. I’m not just trying to sell your house or get you a new one; I want to see you build a home and a life where you can flourish personally and creatively. I want you to find a place that truly inspires you. I make it my business to understand your home and your neighborhood well enough to be able to identify who the buyer will be before we get started. That way, we can reverse engineer our plan, making sure the right buyers experience your home in a way that will have them emotionally engaged from the moment they see it. Relationships are everything to me, and I have the utmost confidence in my dream team of vendors. Whether it’s in getting your house ready for sale or working on your new home, I’ve got a vetted pool of inspectors, contractors, maintenance workers, videographers, stagers, electricians, and more. You’ve got enough going on without having to research every subcontractor you might need — we’ve done the legwork for you. I understand how emotional and stressful it can be to buy or sell a home. For most of us, it’s the biggest purchase we’ll ever make. I don’t take that lightly, whether it’s your first house or your 50th. My goal is to offer you the most professional experience alongside levity, humor, and genuine connection. Of course, I want to help every client do as well on their sale or purchase as possible, but never at the expense of their sanity. Thoughtful, responsive, client-centric experts

My husband and I worked with Steve and Ceinwyn Clark over the last year in our search for a new home. We worked together for almost a year and felt completely supported by their patience, wisdom and good natured professionalism at every step. When the moment came to make an offer, they were extremely thorough and buttoned up, making what I always imagined to be a complicated and stressful process extremely humane and straightforward. They love what they do and they take care of their clients. We never felt pressured to move faster, stretch our budget, or pick something we were 150% happy with. We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with such smart and caring agents throughout this major life milestone, and I’d recommend them whole heartedly to anyone in the process of buying or selling a home. The best ever

We loved working with Steve and the team at Backbeat! They helped us buy this home back in 2020 and sell it now in 2025. Everything was so seamless. We moved cross country before we listed and Steve and team took care of absolutely everything from listing to open houses to staging to closing while keeping us updated at every step.

Relentless Optimism and Professionalism

My wife and I knew it would be a struggle finding a new home on the westside of Los Angeles while splitting time between Pasadena and La Quinta but somehow Steve, Ceinwyn and Tess made it all work. It was truly a marathon hunt for a perfect home involving countless showings all the way across town and we were accommodated and heard every step of the way. Homes go exceedingly fast in the South Bay where we landed and Steve handled all our concerns and questions with grace, honesty and care. Unbelievable network of vendors and contacts to make an extremely stressful situation as smooth as possible.

They don't make them better!

Impossible to know where to start! From navigating the sale of a family complex to making sure all sides of a deal are covered to simultaneously helping us find a new home clear on the other side of town, Steve, Ceinwyn and Tess moved mountains to make sure we were taken care of in every possible way. Our property was owned by two generations of people with very different ideas on how to sell it and every step of they Steve was reassuring, professional and knowledgeable without ever pressuring anyone into making what were -clearly- the right decisions. We could not recommend Steve and his team more!

Third house with Steve!

Steve and I have worked together for almost 10 years. He has guided me through purchasing three homes and selling one. He and his team are fantastic and show that they care on a personal level. He is a great broker to work with. I highly recommend.

Amazing, Start to Finish

This was probably our most stressful move, but Steve and his team made selling the house completely stress free. They guided us every step of the way with good advice, great vendors and warm humor. We worried it would be difficult to capture the beauty of our house but Steve’s team achieved it in pictures, videos and words. And it all paid off when we got a great price for our house in one day. We can’t express our gratitude enough.
