About Shayla

Shayla grew up in the small University town of Stevens Point, WI {UW-SP}, where she also attended college. After graduating with a Business Administration degree and minors in both International Studies & French in 2001, she moved to sunny Sarasota, where her youngest brother was attending Ringling School of Art and Design. Soon after, she began selling residential real estate. Having started at RE/MAX Properties, she consistently won awards for top production. She’s also practiced at SKY Sotheby’s International Realty, Michael Saunders and Company, and a local boutique company, Dwell Real Estate. She was able to soak in lots of market knowledge, best practices, and negotiation techniques along the way. Currently located at Coldwell Banker on South Longboat Key, Shayla is thrilled to call this home. Specializing in luxury and waterfront properties, Shayla’s geographic expertise spans a rather large territory that encompasses: Lakewood Ranch, University Park, Bradenton, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, Lido Key, Bird Key, Siesta Key, all of Sarasota, Osprey, Nokomis, Venice, Casey Key and Manasota Key! Her diverse background, travel experiences and education assist her while working with international clients, as she can also converse in both French and Turkish. Animals, especially dogs, are her passion, as she enjoys contributing her time and efforts to anything related to the sort, particularly the Lakewood Ranch Humane Society. When she’s not working, she likely will be in the gym, as she’s an avid trainer and has even competed some years back. Additionally, she thoroughly enjoys seeing other areas of the world but feels she has yet so much to discover. Shayla is dedicated to representing every single clients’ best interests, she’s always worked very hard, and her ultimate goal is to become your Sarasota-area Realtor for life by providing the best service possible from contract to closing and beyond! Outstanding!

Shayla was incredible in her tireless efforts to close on a property I desired. She knows the market well and didn't let a few previous offers I lost on other properties change her resolve. She stuck with me, committed to the effort, and her positive attitude actually helped keep me in the game. Ultimately, she found and landed one for me, and although it was a complex sale scenario, she adroitly navigated through the obstacles and nailed it. It's exactly what I wanted and now it's mine! Excellent Experience, Highly Recommend!

Shayla and her team are excellent; throughout our sales process, they constantly communicated, answered questions and kept us informed.
