I heard about Mischa through one of my closest friends who bought a house a few years ago. My wife and I had been saving up and had talked to a few agents that we had met through Zillow but we never really felt like they had our best interest in mind. Working with Mischa has been fantastic! After these last couple of months she has become part of the family. Her knowledge of East Bay neighborhoods, history, local codes, and housing trends has been a valuable gift. Mischa has been flexible, responsive, and patient enough in dealing with our incessant questions and anxieties. What I can't say enough about is her empathy in working with us, 2 people with no generational wealth to speak on, who work at non profits, trying to raise our daughter in a crazy political climate, a pandemic, and housing costs that would normally price out people like us. We were able to seal the deal on a house before it went on the market, where we would definitely have been outbid on. During the closing process, Mischa was great at yelling at the lender and helping us navigate escrow and contractors. When I think about the things that I encountered during my home buying experience one thing is for sure: I couldn’t have gotten through this process without having my real estate agent Mischa Lorraine by my side. I have learned so much during this process all due to Mischa. She took the time to answer every question and addressed every concern that I had in great detail. Mischa takes time to get to know her client’s needs and wants and uses this information to find properties that could potentially be one of interest. During this process we had many ups and downs: I was outbid on a couple of homes, in and out of a couple of contracts for various reasons, changes were made to my approval amounts several times, not to mention all the other obstacles that we faced. Despite all of that, Mischa faced every challenge positively and professionally. I don’t recall if I’ve mentioned this to her or not but I was ready to throw in the towel at one point. I was lucky enough to have Mischa as my Realtor when I purchased a house back in 2011 and to then be able to have her as my Realtor again when I sold that house in 2018. The easiest part about buying our first home was finding a great agent. The rest was often complicated, but Mischa masterfully helped us navigate the process. She was patient with all of our questions as we had no experience with the home buying process. She explained many things multiple times in different ways for me when it hadn't quite sunk in. She listened carefully to our ideas, concerns, and hopes, and helped us clarify our own understanding of what we were looking for and what was available.
