Having Michele is the one of best decisions we had made for selling our property. Our expectation is high since market is hot and somehow Michele is able to exceed beyond our expectation. It is crazy and it is incredible. She is a miracle worker! There are many things went well from start to the end despite some obstacles we had with the neighbor. First, Michele is very insightful, up-front and smart on how to position our home in the market. Second, she has a great team and vendors from renovation, staging and inspections to work with. Third, she effectively resolved the roadblocks from our neighbor to ensure the transaction goes well. Fourth, the communication is excellent. I don't even know where to start with how amazing it has been to work with Michele. I just bought a house in Oakland. As savvy as I think I am, I don't think I could have done it without Michele's help. Prior to Michele, I was working with a realtor that could not figure out comps to save her life (and comps and offer is INSANELY important in this market). It is truly the luckiest find on YELP I have ever had. We loved Michele so much - let me count the ways-- 1. Competence - She KNOWS her stuff, and it shows from market pricing to random property questions. Pricing is super important for both buyers and sellers. As a buyer, I am so happy to have Michele on my side because I feel like she had my back to not overbid or underbid; buying a home is an emotional purchase--so people can have the tendency to make bad decisions on offer prices. She can really help guide you. 2. Communication - It is said that you can tell the depth of someone's understanding by how simple they can provide explanation. This is Michele. Straightforward, no dancing around, no candycoating. ( She did give me candies in the end though 3. Network - Michele can tap into her network or sellers/buyers in the real estate world to get information - which is valuable in a real estate transaction. What banks do sellers prefer? What is the tendency of a certain real estate group? Conservative pricing? Ambitious? 4. Small things matter - restless about something? I texted her. Suggestions on house décor/landscape? She has it. Suggestions on areas? She has it. Negotiating parking space, time frame, lightbulbs, etc? You betcha! I am sitting happy in my new home waiting for my custom couch to be delivered really all because of her. Thanks for getting us into our new home.
If you're unsure of how to choose a buyer's agent, rest assured that your search is over. Michele is incredible. On May 8th, I found out that my husband and I would need to relocate from Sacramento to the East Bay by June 30th. We had been hoping to have more time so that we could try to buy our first home, but the timetable seemed too tight. I looked at the hot rental market in the area, and was totally discouraged. Finally, as a last ditch effort at 11 pm that night, I just sent out an identical email to the top five highest rated agents on Yelp, asking them for help. I went to bed that night expecting nothing. When I woke up on May 9th, there was already a response from Michele sitting in my inbox! Even more incredibly, she was already ready to take us to our first showing at noon the same day! For the record, one of the other agents responded to my email while I was at that first showing with Michele, two of them responded several days later, and one of them never got back to me at all. And, of the four agents who responded, only Michele understood our urgency, the position that we were in, and what we needed well enough to move forward on it immediately. So that's a testament to Michele's efficiency, understanding, and responsiveness, but the good news doesn't stop there. She was totally on the ball, and guided us the whole way through the home buying process. She's friendly, she's honest and trustworthy, she had our best interests at heart, she answered all of our questions, and she made sure that we were comfortable with everything that was happening, even as it was going a blinding fast speeds. I'm writing this review on June 6th. We signed the final documents on our new home today. The sale will record tomorrow, and then we will be proud new first time owners. In precisely 30 days, Michele shepherded us from panic to satisfaction, and we couldn't have had a better experience. We cannot recommend her highly enough!
