We met Michael for the first time on a Saturday morning as he showed us a beautiful lake front home, which we fell in love with immediately. Michael told us that he was leaving for a Caribbean cruise that same evening, but assured us that he could submit an offer, draw up a purchase agreement, and negotiate a deal all from his cruise ship. The motivation for first getting to know Michael was to get interested in his article on Linkedin. As I had hoped, thanks to Michael's abundant expertise and immediate connection to the associates we needed for the business. We had a long-waiting dream of owning a comfortable family home finally. Early in the process of selling our home by owner, Michael came by to see it himself and while he was there, he mentioned a service he offered called a mega open house. For a fairly nominal fee, this service allowed us to get our home onto the MLS where all real estate agents could see it. In addition, Michael would also run a 3-hour open house where he would have a lender representative onsite as well as snacks and drinks for prospective buyers. In the interest of getting our home marketed beyond the standard 'for sale by owner' sites, we signed up for this service with Michael. The open house drew in about 14 potential buyers and, in the end, it was one of the open house visitors who actually ended up purchasing our home. During the past few years, I have bought and sold over 6 homes, selling some by owner because I found it difficult finding a good agent. I listed my home by owner and many realtors called, including Michael, to get my listing. I had never met Michael until the day he came over and I could tell immediately he was a different kind of realtor. My wife and I decided to try and sell our home in Rochester by owner. Mike came to our open house to preview the house for potential buyers and I wound up talking to him at length about how to best show and market the home - as a FSBO. Mike was incredibly generous with his time and knowledge and even arranged to list the house (as a FSBO) in the multi-list.
