My wife and I worked with Matt to buy our first home and can not recommend him enough! Matt went through battles with us to try and land a home in the turbulent Seattle real estate market. We got to know Matt back at the beginning/middle of 2020 when there was so much uncertainty and he helped us through everything, every step of the way. Matt Chapman and his whole team were tremendous from start to finish. We sat down with Matt at the end of July to explore the possibility of selling our Seattle home and making a move to Lacey. Matt gave us excellent counsel on when and how to sell our home and then crafted a plan with us. He handled every detail with professionalism and personalized attention. We followed all of Matt’s advice and sold our home at above asking price on the first weekend it went on the market. Matt also handled the purchase of our home in Lacey. He negotiated on our behalf multiple times and got us an excellent deal. Because of some unexpected glitches with the lender, we needed to renegotiate the closing date a couple of times. I've had the privilege of getting to know Matt quite well over the last five years and know him to be a man of integrity, so when I decided to sell my house in May I knew immediately that I wanted to ask Matt to be my realtor. Matt is incredible! We were looking into a neighborhood we didn't know much about, and Matt guided us expertly through pros and cons, explored different areas with us, and listened carefully to our goals to help us make the best decision for our family. He cared about our dreams, our vision for our house, and was constantly looking to find something that would fit exactly what we were dreaming of. As we toured homes. Matt was there to offer us honest opinions when we needed them, and steered us from homes that wouldn't have been perfect for us. When we did find the perfect one, Matt was critical in helping us strategize financing and how we structured our offer to make it as competitive as possible without offering more than the house was really worth. We got under contract, Matt represented us well through the entire process and pushed to get the most out of inspection and other contingencies, saving us a ton of money. Bought a house from Matt in July 2020 - it's been an absolute pleasure and joy to work with him. Matthew has been nothing short of amazing before, during, and after the home buying process. My family and I were recently moving from out of state, we were confined to our apartment (with two young children) due to the pandemic, but we still needed to move. We had very little knowledge of the area and relied on our instincts when choosing Matthew based on other reviews. Our instincts were never so correct. From our initial phone conversation, I knew we were in good hands. The way real estate works in Washington was different than we were accustomed to and Matthew walked us through everything we were unsure of. He went to the homes of interest, video conferenced us from the properties and told us his honest opinion of them all. Ultimately, we decided on the home that we all felt was the best fit without ever stepping foot inside it ourselves. When we finally arrived at the home, we were never so happy; it was perfect. None of this would have been possible without his professionalism, knowledge of real estate and the local real estate market, and personability.
