Back in 2009, I was fortunate enough to meet an amazing real estate agent, LuAnn Shikasho. She helped me purchase my first home in a crazy market. Now, fourteen years later she helped me sell that same house in another crazy market. In 2009, she helped me place numerous bids and showed me many houses. Now, she helped me accept multiple bids just days after listing the house in a market where houses can sit for sixty or more days. The main reason for successfully selling the house is LuAnn’s unequaled marketing campaign. She created a professional YouTube video of the house, which received tens of thousands of views (including a few from friends and family). She then helped us select the best bid and moved to quickly close the house. We closed in 21 days and could have closed sooner if not for the packing time needed with two small children. LuAnn also deftly handled a few curveballs. This is a testament to not just her experience and organizational skills, but also to the strength of her entire team. Everything LuAnn suggested, from having a pre-inspection done so that buyers could remove the inspection contingency, to pricing of the house, helped the deal close quickly and above asking price.
If I had to pick a single word to describe LuAnn, it would be tenacious. She works tirelessly to make sure her clients get the most out of the deal, often sending emails and texts at late hours. Other agents cannot hold up against her. I would not want to risk having her on the opposing side of the transaction, so it is best to just have her on your side. She truly made this entire experience seamless and rewarding. I can clearly see why she won realtor of the year!
